Itinerary at a glance
Arrive at Tokyo International Airport (HND or NRT) and transfer to your city hotel by the airport limousine bus (Transfer time: 1200 pm - 0400pm). The remainder of the day is yours to enjoy independently, perhaps unwinding at your hotel or getting a taste of the city, which is home to around eight million people.
After breakfast, check out the hotel and start the tour to Lake Kawaguchi. Board the traditional train Fujisan View Express at Otsuki station, enjoy a closer look at the world famous Mt Fuji. Upon arrival at Lake Kawaguchi, visit the Saiko Iyashinosato Nenba is lined with thatched-roof houses on the shores of Lake Saiko overlooking the world heritage site Mt. Fuji. The Dyeing artist, Mr Itchiku Kubota built this museum in its perfect location with the majestic view of Mt. Fuji and the serene Lake Kawaguchi. The museum exhibits Itchiku Tsujigahana works with the two major themes of “Trinity of Humans, nature and art” and “The center of new art”. The whole museum, including the gardens, buildings and furnishing, represents” the world of Itchiku”. Later, visit Oishi Park to have the best view of Mt Fuji and the lake. (*if the Fujisan View Express or the museum of Mr Itchiku Kubota is not available , the alternative site will be arranged).

Check out the hotel after breakfast, board the vehicle to visit Arakurayama Sengen Park. It is a spot highly acclaimed from overseas as a place where you can see the majestic Mt. Fuji and the five-storied pagoda Chureito at a glance, and experience NIPPON. Proceed to Kamakura, the political center in the late 12th century. Pay a visit to the landmark - The Great Buddha, and the heart of the city - Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. Back to Tokyo later in the afternoon. * Please prepare one piece of luggage for our complimentary luggage transfer service, which will free you from carrying luggage on and off the train and deliver your luggage directly to your Kyoto hotel upon your arrival.

Today, take a morning sightseeing tour that showcases its highlights. Visit Nijubashi Bridge, the best picture spot of the Imperial Palace and admire the Imperial Palace Plaza, a clutch of gardens and palaces that are home to Japan’s royal family. Visit Nakamise Street, an avenue of stalls leading to the Senso-Ji Temple. Peruse the stalls’ souvenirs and snacks, and marvel at the elaborate Buddhist temple, Tokyo’s oldest. From Asakusa, board the modern water taxi along the river to enjoy the magnificent skyline of Tokyo and the bridges. Disembark the water taxi at Odaiba and continue to visit the fashionable Ginza, Tokyo’s best-known shopping, dining and entertainment hub. Tonight enjoy Kaiseki dinner for your experience.

Today, step aboard Japan’s famous bullet or ‘Shinkansen’ train for your journey to Kyoto, Japan’s ancient imperial capital famed for its historic temples and rock gardens. Settle on the high-speed train at Tokyo station and race through the countryside at up to 200mph, enjoying views of snow-capped Mt Fuji en route (weather permitting). Visit Kiyomizu Temple, or "Pure Water Temple", one of the most celebrated temples in Japan. Kiyomizudera is best known for its wooden stage that juts out from its main hall, 13 meters above the hillside below. The stage affords visitors a nice view of the numerous cherry and maple trees below that erupt in a sea of color in spring and fall, as well as of the city of Kyoto in the distance. In the afternoon visit Kyoto's UNESCO-protected gems: the 17th century Nijo Castle, once a residence of Tokugawa shoguns, and the splendid Kinkaku-ji aka the Golden Pavilion. People come to the shrine to pray for bountiful harvests, business prosperity and fulfillment of all kinds of other wishes. Vermillion red torii gateways are a famous feature of Inari Shrines and the color evokes a strong sense of spirituality for Japanese people.

The Sagano Scenic Railway also known as the Sagano Romantic Train or Sagano Torokko) is a sightseeing train line that runs along the Hozugawa River between Arashiyama and Kameoka. Its charming, old-fashioned trains wind their way through the mountains at a slow pace, giving passengers pleasant views of the scenery as they travel from Arashiyama through the forested ravine and into rural Kameoka. After the train ride, stroll along the paths through The Bamboo Grove, and The Togetsukyo Bridge (lit. "Moon Crossing Bridge") is Arashiyama's most iconic landmark. Afterwards visit Nishiki Market, a narrow, five block long shopping street lined by more than one hundred shops and restaurants. After lunch on own, proceed to Fushimi Inari-Taisha Shrine. People come to the shrine to pray for bountiful harvests, business prosperity and fulfillment of all kinds of other wishes. A full-day excursion to historical Nara, a former capital of Japan, today. Cradled by wooded hills, this attractive ancient city boasts eight UNESCO World Heritage sites. Visit the famous Todaiji Temple, to see the world’s biggest bronze statue of Buddha, and drink in the scenic charms of Nara Park, best-known for the many wild Sika deer that roam its landscapes. After lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to Osaka, Japan’s second biggest city. Visit Osaka Castle Tower houses an informative museum about the castle's history and Toyotomi Hideyoshi and from the top enjoy a panoramic view of Osaka Castle park and the city. Then proceed to the Kuromon Ichiba Market, a foodie haunt with over 150 enticing culinary stalls and Shinsaibashi, a shopping district nicknamed the ‘Champs-Elysees of the East’ for its unique stores. Cap your day with a succulent Kobe beef dinner at a local restaurant in Osaka.
